I have this box usually running Corelec on an SD card. I'd like to upgrade the stock firmware. It is currently 6.x firmware/Android.
I have found a .rar file for the 2/8 which alleges to also work on the 1/8 device and provide 1080 youtube.
I don't have a dual head USB cable, so the amlogic burning tool is out.
I have found the Amlogic BootCard Maker which is supposed to prep an SD card to do an OTA install.
I've never used the BootCard Maker program.
The Bootcard maker is supposed to take a .zip file
The firmware file that I found is NEXBOX-A95X_S905X_7.1_8189_8g1g_171118preview_SD_USB.rar
which is obviously a .rar file
The .rar file contains:
u-boot.bin.sd.bin
aml_sdc_burn.ini
aml_upgrade_package.img
So, what's my plan?
