Running on Android 9.0. the X96 mini + tv box is powered by the most recent Amlogic S905W4 -, a chip designed to compete in the most economical range and that presents minimal improvements over the previous S905W.

It is a Quad Core with ARM Cortex-A53 processor capable of reaching 1.2Ghz and a MALI-450 MP5 GPU that reaches 750Ghz. It has 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and 16 GB of eMMc storage memory on board and a micro SD card reader located on the side of the black plastic box that allows us to increase its internal storage.

Regarding wireless connectivity, we have Dual band Wi-Fi aC with internal antenna and Bluetooth 4.0. In the connectors section, the X96 mini + sports 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0 port, SPDIF audio output, micro SD reader, 10/100 network connector, in addition to an analogue port for audio and video.

Where can I get stock firmware? on the firmware that was posted above, the clock does not work and wi-fi does not work.

I just received my box a few days ago and still testing it, I was going to buy the family a few but after the first test....I have fast internet ( GigaBlast internet speed) and I have two different IPTV services, on WiFi the IPTV just buffers and with ethernet cable attached no difference IPTV buffers...so on Kodi it plays Ok so far only tried it once and haven't tried any movie Apks yet to see how they play.

So everyone don't get excited about this box , I will do more tests and update this later....its cheap and that's about all...I was disappointed with it and don't think that will change..

Another thing I found AiDA64 says the box is rooted, but its not rooted.

minya thanks for the stock firmware, I set about doing some testing.

Streaming works fine here with both Wifi or Ethernet.
However smarters type app UI is very slow esp when the spinner appears while switching between channels.

Manage to root using TWRP_AML_ViT_3.2.2.zip, and Magisk.zip.

I flashed a few S905w firmwares including the above non stock and Android 7, and they all worked, using Ethernet. (no Wifi or Display).
And all worked better then the stock.

Of course do not recommend flashing non stock firmware, may brick your box.

Johnoo hey cool you got the box rooted, I lost interest in it unplugged it and set in on the table, I might play with it next week when I have time...I really was hoping for a good box, but maybe price is how we can tell what were getting good or bad......
