From the firmware, it looks like a Broadcom BCM4334/BCM40183 (02d0:4380). An AMPAK AP6330 might also use this kernel module, but the AP6255 usually emulates the BCM43455 (02d0:4345).
Guest but does your comment mean the FW should work or can that module be inserted into it somehow? I have about 6-7 hours left before the bargain price expires :-)
You might be able to flash it with my custom ROM, but wireless is still unlikely because the custom ROM has drivers for AMPAK 62X2, 4353, 4356, 6212, 6255, 6330, 6355, and Broadcom 43458. My AP6330 support is for (02d0:4360), not (02d0:4380), so i'm guessing it won't match because of the different device ID.
Guest actually I was not paying attention, your MX3 rom is 6.0 not 7.1.2 ... so could this Rom above be the basis for new Roms for the M8S/A95X/MX3 etc?? With the TV/Stock NExus packages? Pretty please.. Really like the 6.0 one.... ;-)
I'm working on a generic set of Nougat custom ROMs for S905X (p212 reference board), but it will probably be based on the Shiningworth firmware, not this.
This MXQ Pro+ box will only flash via burn tool I cant get it to flash anything via sd/usb The only firmware to successfully flash is the posted firmware for this exact box... ive tried multple 905 firmwares but no luck this box is weird in that it wont permit ANY other launcher to run and the built in root is not Titanium Backup aware....Anyone else find a working rom other than stock?

Guest, that is exciting news. Without wanting to hassle you, is there any ETA? And is there any way to easily identify if the MXQ Pro is one of the p212 reference designs? I am hoping this Rom will allow reliable Casting to it, then my TVbox will replace a Pi3 and Chromecast behind the TV
The p212 refers to the Amlogic reference board design, and this one reports as s905x013 or s905x011, which is very odd. My guess is that it is based on the same Amlogic p212 reference board and then just took some creative liberties in the build.prop, but I'm not certain.
For example, VideoStrong reports their p212 devices as p21x in the build.prop and device tree, but as far as I can tell it's based on the standard p212 reference board.
