alex161rus, tried your remote file. Did not work. Weird, that is the remote.conf from my original rom backup so you would think 0xfe01 should work. When I run dmesg -c with debug enabled I get same results I saw in terminal window. Buttons that work like UP and Down have no output to the screen. Buttons that are mapped wrong have no output to the screen either. Right and Left buttons that don't work have output like this... any thoughts? Thanks for your help!

I'm pretty sure, the remote.conf was taken from the original stock rom. It was the only one in the /etc folder from a twrp backup, found it here system.ext4.win /etc folder. remote did work with the stock rom. I cannot find the original rom anywhere its a leelbox q1 plus.

Ok, I got CoreElec up and running. I scanned all buttons, here are the results.
