if you're looking for the netflix files, easier than PM'ing someone, just google: "com.yablio.netflixuhdfix.apk" and "Netflix [3.2.2-Android TV Mod] tork24 (DeaLabs.com).apk"

Should be pretty easy to grab them from one of the many sites that has them posted.


So the sleep functions are completely messed up, right? I just changed my power button to shutdown because it never comes out of sleep and I have to get up and unplug the box every time. Hopefully with shutdown, i'll just have to wait the 15 seconds for it to bootup every time. Either that or I'll leave it on, how much power could it possibly use at idle. (I've already disabled auto-sleep as advised way earlier in the thread because it would fall into a coma randomly).

It works with the KM3 via the USB 3.0 port - as a regular controller and an Airmouse (when enabled via the button) for use with pure Android Apps (Netflix etc).
The IR learning feature has been handy in turning on/off my Samsung TV, as the sleep feature and CEC functions on the KM3 device itself are useless and result in random sleeping/coma.

The sideclick didn't work anyway, so maybe i'll pick up that remote. Just a FYI for anyone trying to pair a remote, you actually need a working remote (or ADB) to pair a remote. It's really dumb. Once you set your remote to pair, the km3 sees it, but you have to click "ok" on it, which is impossible if you're pairing the remote. I used ADB to send the "ok" command to pair a fire remote and everything works perfectly except the google assistant button.

Watched TV box recent video it seems there's no infirmary in the widewine level for this box... Anyone care to validate this?

Widevine L1, no Netflix certification but an old patched app will still work for a while.

so it looks like the yablio netflix fix changes "ro.nrdp.modelgroup" to "FIRETVSTB2015".

Would it be possible to create a version that changes it to "FIRETVSTB2018" or "SHIELDANDROIDTV"? Would this give us HDR as the 2015 model didn't support HDR, but the other two do?

I tried modifying it via ADB but it's read only. Not sure how that app gets around that without root.

I'm assuming this is the same firmware the box shipped with? When I go to OTA update nothing new happens. OTA version is listed as: 905300090316


also, does anyone know if its possible for to modify netflix to mimic a device with HDR like "FIRETVSTB2018" or "SHIELDANDROIDTV" instead of "FIRETVSTB2015"?
it looks like the fix just modifies the property "ro.nrdp.modelgroup". I even tried decompiling the yablio APK but I can't make heads or tails of it, I don't really know much about android development.

Seems like an easy change for whomever made it in the first place, though.

also, I noticed a weird quirk with HBO GO. It works just fine (aside from using the play button instead of the select button), but then when I'm done, I have to reboot to get audio to work in any other app.
