Tanix tx5 Max, I've tried and I've tried

The whole reason I updated the firmware was because I was having an issue with the ethernet connection randomly slowing down my speed from 150 Mbs to 10 Mbs. All my other devices connected to the router were OK. When I unplugged and let sit for a couple of minutes, then the 150 Mbs speed would come back and I would be good for a couple days.

I followed the procedures to update the firmware, got it to update. But, lost all my settings and my apps. I looked on my google account and could not find the backup that was created. So all lost.

I am getting "the device is not activated yet, please contact your vendor". I initially thought it was a problem with the version of firmware I used, so I put the original stock version back on. The same issue. I followed the procedure in the link below

    Tanix TX6 TV Box Allwinner H6 4GB DDR3 + 32GB EMMC 2.4GHz + 5GHz WiFi BT4.1 or 5 Support 4K H.265 Click image for larger versionName: 20181112135631_73499.jpgViews: 1Size: 67.7 KBID: 751596 Main Features ● Android 7.1 operation system ● Allwinner H6 CPU, up to 1.5GHz, Quad core, ARM Cortex-A53 ● Mali T720

I have tried all 3 MAC id's that I could find with the same results. I tried lower case letters in the MAC and I tried using upper case letters as suggested in link above.

MAC id's and locations with code results:

Bottom of device on sticker - 066181217347 (I did put the colons in) - e5dc69ff - no good
ID that comes up when you press 758523 - 02:00:00:25:2c:01 - using lower case - 9cc11125 - using upper case - 9b9b79a4 - no good
ID that shows up when you go to settings, about, status - 18:bb:26:de:33:42 - lower case - b7c3d504 - upper case - 982b3c50 - no good

    still have message

    What am I doing wrong?
