I've been trying a lot of apps on my X96Max, including Kodi. None of which has Auto Frame Rate Switching. IPTV channels with a frame rate (fps) of 25 doesn't run smoothly on this device. But the same goes for my Xiaomi Mi Box S.
After doing some digging it seems that Amlogic doesn't have the correct support for Auto Frame Rate in their (newer?) boxes.
This thread is created with the purpose of providing solutions to this problem.
There are a couple of alleged solutions posted on the forum 4pda.ru. One is simply a script installed through recovery and the other is for Kodi only (an add on).
I'm looking to hear your experiences in solving the problem and your solutions.
when u flash the zip-file and recieve an error about init.d,
u should install Amlogic-TvBox-tool app first (Google Playstore) -> https://bit.ly/2IgPXod
(open Amlogic TV Box Tool and enable init.d support and Autostart)
The zip-file is signed, so it can be installed in the stock recovery,
or just use TWRP to install the zip-file.
(TWRP 3.2.3 for S905x2-u211 devices -> https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoqocX31ecnXgbIdSaKxLK3e-SPboA )
(but always do a backup first! )

VSyncOff 0.0, it's mean didn't work? VSyncOff Indicates the offset between the vertical sync signal of the display and the timestamps of the video frames. This offset is used for a/v sync. If VSyncOff is greater than zero and constant, all good. If the value shows 0.0, the framerate (fps) of the video does not match the refresh rate (Hz) of the display."
