Finally Mecool KM1 Amlogic S905X3

Been wondering where Mecool was hiding, finally found one of their new boxes with Amlogic S905X3. As usual, their boxes are Google Certified and running the Android TV OS

That's not good. MiBox under old simple S905 has AutoFramerate.

You are correct, I was wrong......
I dugout my old Mibox, and tested it, sure enough, it supports autoframerate automatically....... Also, passes through the HD audio codecs.......

Yes it's last miBox firmware update that allow.

They said they would have to wait until Android 10, and **then** they may update the firmware so it does automatic framerate.....

I have not checked my Mibox S, but it is definitely less capable than the original Mibox.

I have MECOOL KM9 Pro Classic (Android TV 9), I never had any OTA update, nerver. Do you know if all new MECOOL KM1, 3 and 9 under Android TV 9 will have Android Q 10 OTA automatic update ?

From their track record, doubtful. But, these boxes and manufacturers are improving and getting real certifications and actually providing after market support..... These boxes/sticks have come a long way since they first introduced them....

I know, but I there is no after sale servce and never OTA update and forgetten boxes, I would never buy theses boxes and I'm not the only one. The should up to date the Mecool Boxes if they want to keep selling. Beelink always give OTA updates on their boxes for years. I don't speak about Nvidia Shield or Xiaomi MiBox that offerts a real after sale service and updates.
If there is no update on this Mecool, my next Android TV box will be a Beelink or Xiaomi box.

I prefer the ATV Android boxes, and as far as I know, Beelink does not have a naive ATV box that is Google Certified........ Thank goodness for the DEVs that make ATV Roms for them.

I have several different versions of the Mecool boxes, same for the Beelink Boxes.......

I am waiting for Mecool to come out with a new box with the Amlogic S922 SoC, or even better yet, a different SoC that supports ALL the HD audio and HD video codecs........ Right now, only the Nvidia Shield does both (Android)...

Keep your ears open, April 27 or April 28 Xiaomi is suppose to be releasing info in Chinese press conference about their new devices, I hope that will include info on there new AndroidTV "Stick" device, which should include the licenses and certifications to play all the HD Audio and Codecs.

Yes but it will be just a little "stick" like the Amazon Stick, without connexions and of course without S922 soc that need a box to refresh it.

I hopes that Xiaomi replace poor miBox S with real performance box with S905x3 and Android TV.
