There is a lot of these 905x3 popping up of late and more to come no doubt.

Most by now have the firmware running pretty good/OK also options with CoreELEC and others I recall.

Again thanks to Gearbest today we can have a close look at the
    EACHLINK X3 MINI Android 9.0 Smart 4K TV Box 4GB DDR4 +64GB EMMC

    To Continue on:
The setup of Google Play Store ok:
    Wifi and ethernet speeds Good
Google would not install apps just pending:
Onto APK Pure and all good.

UI looks kind Groovy and clean/not busy, No Root, No task/notification bar
It's a fairly locked down Rom not much to fiddle with very basic at this stage, but performance for a 905x3 is on par with others
Good custom rom will fix his sucker

    On with the Show:

If you looked at the pictures of the PCB it clearly is printed LPDDR4 next to the SKhynix Ram chip.

That doesn't mean if you buy the cheapest version, example 2GB ram with 16GB storage, that it will also have same LPDDR4 because usually the cheapest model will have cheaper hardware and Ram chips could be changed for the cheaper model. So always purchase the top model option for a device, in this case I believe it is the 4GB/64GB like the one tested in this review.

That firmware is the same as the one who came with the device or does it have something new/different? And which method did you use to install it? Toothpick? Other?

                      Thanks for your help!

This box could probably improve with some kind of modded firmware. But, even without it, it does work well, i.e. it is reasonably fast. The most annoying thing is that many apps will not install via Play Store. But, using alternative methods we can install lots of stuff.
