Box is looking OK hardware wise, and seems to working well with the stock Rom
I note there is few custom Roms about that also should work OK on this Unit.

X96 Air appears zippy enough for the price
Of course we have the Bonus clock, a timely feature

Switch on good easy, set up WiFi and connection to Google easy.
Updates of apps and installing zippy no weird stuff so far

Reading some posts over on the Coreelec forum there seems to be a potential indication of excessive thermal issues, so a stress test with temp readings could be useful.

Possible, yes....
The heat pad to the weight block should be pretty good, but as an upside down box...very possible
A few more well placed vent hole could help, and better thermal pad...

Android seemed ok with it, not a freezer seen cooler, but also seen a lot hotter.

A couple more tests, CPU appears to be running at max this would appear to be a good heat generator...
