thinking to replace my Minix X8-H as there are some issues with playing ATMOS codes movies + some *.mkv movies are probably too heavy as is loosing sound for few seconds during playback.

Havent been looking into Andorid TV boxes for some time (2y+). Seems like many new model on the market.
Did quick look and found this one which i quite like by design and HW specs...Also M8S Pro - just need some with auto POWER ON (none POWER ON button)
1. Do u have any other tips suggestions?
2. Why is difference DDR3 vs DDR4?
3. How is it with custom FW and Recovery now?
Thanks

No Vents, Different Ram, emmC and WiFi as compared to the tx92 and TF card
and a Fancy Light show on top..
Easy on and setup same setup as other Tanix TX92
WiFi, Google etc setup easy no problems
Apps installed again all good.
No Problems see with temps, Max I saw was about 70c when Pushed..
Rest 55~65c Idle now Down to 45c, don't think it will have any problems but a few Vents would have been nice.

Blue Glow of the Lid and a clock, maybe a little to bright.
Dear friend,
I would like to buy this box even though it does not have a Gear best memory card specifications. The box works with DDR3 or DDR4 memory??.
Please answer because I would like to buy this box just waiting for memory information.
Anyone figure out how to change the default launcher on this box? I would like to use Nova but it won't stick as the default even though settings says it is the default Home. I can't see anywhere in build.prop to edit out the current launcher which is Oranth Tanix.
I found your thread and would like to put my 2 cents on it. If adding my review here is inappropriate, please remove the post. Thank you! :-)
There's a TWRP that works with this box. I used that one and it was working fine: https://www.dropbox.com/s/voz2fp7ye7...3_ViT.zip?dl=0
Please note that I read somewhere it is not recommended to be installed and I haven't done it.
TO get to TWRP:
1. copy the zip on a sd microcard
2. boot to original recovery by pressing the home button of the remote while powering the box on
3. browse to the external storage and run the .zip file
Here's a detailed video review of that box:
