Cleaned up the cable. Soldered the black and white fan wires on at the bottom in one of the USB ports ( two outside ones ).
Much cleaner now compared to a cable outside of the box.

No probs. Make sure you dry-run first . If the two wires are inverted, the fan might not come on. It wouldn't on mine. I thought it the motor would run in reverse if the two wires are interchanged.
