Mecool bb2 pro Android TV 7.1

I hope this is the right forum to ask. Does anyone know if there's a Android TV 7.1 ROM available (nougat) for Mecool bb2 pro? I noticed its available for Mecool M8. What I really want is Live Channels w/ hdhomerun :-) Appreciate any pointers.

I don't have this tuner or the Mecool box, but there is an add-on for Kodi. I think a user here, clarkss12
uses this add-on and an HDHomeRun Tuner.

This app, coupled with a media player like VLC, will get you live TV channels: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...aren.HomeRunTV . As mentioned, Kodi has a built-in PVR add-on that works directly with newer HDHomeRun tuners having DLNA. Those options both work with Android 6.

Not sure when/if Mecool bb2 will get Nougat...

You get "live channels" with Android 6 (Marshmallow) if you subscribe to the HDHomeRun DVR beta, or have tvheadend server running on another device. I think what you are talking about is the new "Live channels" included with Nougat, which brings it's own DVR that uses the HDHomeRun tuners. This will kill any DRM'd broadcast.

Thanks for the pointers. Yes, I meant the "Live channels" included with Nougat - like in the video. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking for a simple way to replace my old WMC without messing with Kodi/guides etc. I was hoping I could use my Mecool bb2 pro 2 for this.

I have try this 7.1.2 on the russian site. It was good but the power button ( when press long ) on the remote is not work and the mouse is not work on the remote. Is there a solution fore ?

I had this flashed 3 days ago. It has nova launcher. Seems good but there s no lighthome launcher. I like lighthome.
for the rest everything works well but a little bug when the box is restarting it asks Always the launcher. When rebooting, always ask for which launcher . I choose ``forever nova`` but Always when restarting it asks again.
Do you have try this rom Andryushka 7.1.2 !!! Vorke Z6 ?

What image did you use? this one: Android_7.1.2_PC-rooted_Vasily.img.zip
finally to fix the launcher issue you need to run the SD Maid application. In the left menu select "Manager". Start the scan. In the application list, find Launcher3. Select it and press "Freeze". regards

thanks for the information. I did not understand one thing. After you upgrade with the image Android_7.1.2_PC-rooted_Vasily.img, you need also to install the backups? If yes, how can you do it? Yes first flash the rooted vasily that is 1,43gb.
Then download this backup i have uploaded on my mediafire. http://www.mediafire.com/file/otyyql...PS+%281%29.zip

when its done go to recovery , that is pressing the reset button while plugging in the power.
select ``backup`` then select ``storage`` click `microsd`. Choose only ``LOGO``. the others not thick.
Then power off device and unplug the microsd and put it in your computer. There will be a file that named TWRP., delete the files . Copy now the 18 files that you downloaded it inside that is 2,56gb.
Now go to recovery again. Press ``restore backup`` select microsd. and all the files are now selected. . switch it and you are done.

Thank you very much. Your English is good and I can understand. One question: after flashing the first time the rom image vasily you can restart the device (for the first configuration) or you must go in to the recovery for the backup-restore without starting?
