M8S Max help needed
I've recently bought a MeCool M8S Max for my parents. Went through a lot of reviews and thought the S912 has the power to be futureproof. Of course not.
I went through all the settings in Kodi and Android 7.1.1. The firmware is the latest 2019. No mods, fully stock. SOC governor is set to performance. GPU acceleration is always on (but tried all settings).
Any known problems with specific codecs? I have several 1080p HDTV rips that has coding problems, frame drops, color problems and even the sound goes out of timing (this usually happens at higher bandwidth codings).
They had an ASUS media player before, and no single problems with that... now it seems that changing to a newer and better hardware was a big mistake.
It is said to handle even 4K 60p, but only flawless at 720p.... what a piece of...
