How do i boot it into recovery? just leave the sd card in there?

Can i not use the update app on the tv box and select local?

If you create a bootable microSD card with that burncard maker, pop it into your box. Open a terminal emulator on your Android box and type "reboot update", it will reboot and install the OS that you have on your microSD card. Be patient, it takes awhile to install.

You can try this, I've used it on my vorke to install stock and custom firmware.

You tube how to use on your TV BOX or similar.

So basically after you burn your firmware to SDCARD on pc, you need to insert sdcard into TV box and make your tvbox boot into recovery then update will install automatically, when TV box reboots REMOVE SDCARD.

Hey guys behave the original m8s pro l when it first came out last year.

Have never updated firmware .What are your thoughts on this one? Can you install from webpage links ?

Is it safe to install via update app and select ota and point to micro SD slot?

Do I need to wipe data?

Never updated these boxes before

This worked fine on mine, im now back to stock with widevine l1 intact and wifi/bluetooth working as should.
