To open the box - Remove the 4x rubber feet.
4x small cross head (JIS) screws - Careful, a standard Philips screwdriver will cam-out and damage the screws if not pushed in firmly while unscrewing !
    Lid comes off easily.
Front right of PCB is a space for the Reset Switch (not fitted) marked 2SW4
Short Front Left - to - Front Right (either side of the + symbol in Pro+ photo)

          Yes.
Short, add power and keep shorted for up to about 20 seconds I believe.

Is your heatsink OK? Looks out of place ??

Have to get an expert to help with this .... Magendanz is on Pacific Time I think, so may be a slight wait ....

This is a bug with the OEM's update script, which is checking the build.prop on the recovery (TWRP) and not the system partition. Since we use a generic TWRP build for q20x reference boards, it won't match the model device name that it expects.

Is there anything Mples can do except wait and hope VS release a corrected version ?

He can load your ROM I guess ?

                        You are too amazing

I am guessing this will help all who need to revert to OEM for some reason.

                          Okay, try this: M8S_PRO_L-ota-20170918.111557.V0619-fixed.zip

I've also made it so that you can downgrade using this OTA updater, which the OEM script wouldn't let you do.
