The reason I ask is this is the only forum I've come across which mentions this particular box which I've been thinking of buying for some time, so I assumed it must be quite popular amongst the readers here...

I have been looking for an Android (v6) box which supports DVB-S2 and has a 1Gb LAN as a minimum. What other options do I have?

Well, it works.. get the channels ok etc
Watch out the module is sensitive, if you use cable tv if the signal is to strong you wont get any channels and you need add some signal attenuators to the cable.
It's a bit hot because of the plastic box... all closed!

I'm only interested in DVB-S2, so cable isn't something which concerns me. But what others? I'm not aware of other similar STB's, ie an Android v6 box which supports DVB-S2 and 1Gb LAN. Tell me what else I should be considering.

At this stage looks like if you have run a custom rom and don't have the Original Mac address that is marked on the underside of the KIII Pro media player
You will not get L1 with an update or reflash at present..

In chatting with SC,
Need to reset the media player with Correct Mac that way L1 can be implemented.
by either .img with licence file to suit KIII pro or APK with Keyfiles

I nearly bought this, but can see that while it has widevine level 1, the hdcp is unprotected? What resolution netflix will this do?
