[Fix For Amlogic S912 q200 X-Player Android TV Box] X-Player TV Box Firmware Fix/Flash Using T5ZP0010 T95Z PLUS Firmware

    Hi There!

I am new to this site but along the way It is where I found the solutions to my tv box issue. I have my tv box back up and running flawlessly now, so I am posting this to help others as I could not find anything firmware related to the "X Player" Android TV Box on the net. I hope that I'm posting in the rite area and not breaking any rules.

Background: I had my x-player android TV box for around a month and I like to tinker, and since its an unlocked "Rooted" device straight from the factory, I don't know what I did, but I screwed it up. Needless to say I ended up with the ring LED light around the box which is supposed to stay on, flashing like there was a short in it. I hoped rebooting the box would fix the issue but it did not. The LED kept flickering, not a steady flash but a random flicker, and it was stuck in a perpetual boot loop with no fix. I was able to get into the device by plugging in a USB stick before booting, as the stick loading would allow the box to load for whatever reason (Believe me I tried anything I could think of) but it would only show the desktop/home screen wallpaper and nothing else.

I dug and dug and dug on the net piecing together info on the X-Player Android TV box and found out that it had an Amlogic s912 chip and q200 chip-set "I believe its called" so what I did was find info and tools on this site and a TV box with the exact same chip-set and specs, and also same android OS. I downloaded the Sunvell T95Z Plus TV Box Amlogic s912 Octa Core firmware, flashed my SD Card with the "Burn Card Maker" app using the steps I followed in the provided post, first I tried with the "Amlogic USB Burning Tool" but on my laptop running windows ten it would do nothing, just freeze.

Once I flashed the necessary files to my SD card, I put it in my X-Player, pushed a toothpick into the headphone style/audio jack holding down the button straight inside the back of the jack, and powered on device while keeping button pressed down. Thankfully the device automatically showed a screen with a green android logo saying upgrading, and once it completed I reset my box and voila it ran even better than with the different device firmware and os it came with, only real difference is the boot screen shows T95Z logo instead of the "X" on the X-Player. Virtually everything else is still the same on the device.

I put together a package of all the needed tools and files I used, for someone else to replicate what I did if there box gets corrupted and its out of warranty and they wish to try to fix it. Please just keep in mind I am not a programmer, nor did I compile any of the software, I was just a desperate guy who tried something that worked for me. If you wish to try this out please do so at your own risk and don't hold me nor this site responsible for any damages. The way I saw it was the box was as good as garbage so I had nothing to lose.

If you wish to try this here is the link to the files & photo guide, but make sure you do enough research first that you are comfortable with this process before attempting. If I help even one person out and fix their tv box I feel Ive done my duty.

    Cheers & Best Luck!

When I put in the SD Card (It sticks out a bit) and use the toothpick method. I get the recovery screen. Scroll down to USB or SD Card but when I click OK it says fail cant read the SD. Is there some permissions I have to set? Or something else?
