Have not tried Aidans... since TWRP 3.4.0 has not given me the ability to properly restore my system...takes too long to manual rebuild to my needs.

As a side note.. I read somewhere that Xiaomi did not continue agreements for sound codecs/ driver APIs? Possibly removing them from official firmware.

I have a sunvell t95z 3g/16gb I have poison rom on it right now but was thinking about upgrading. Do people think this is the best rom right now or is there a 64bit rom that is better. Im assuming a couple people here have tryed a few. I also forgot how to tell what chipset it has. I thought there was terminal commands to do it but i cant find a thread anywhere. Maybe i should just put miniixfreak's or superceleron's rom? Though ideally I would like android 9+, 64 bit for long term compatibility, and the option to use nova launcher. I am going for functionality over form on it. Any help of thoughts on how polished different roms are would be great. I lost the remote so only need mouse interaction Bluetooth would be nice but i dont care that much. Wish you could just flash roms in twrp like on a phone. I do have TWRP on it right now too!

Back on page one, Khadas and Davietpda have x64 firmware. I think everyone else have been releasing x32.

The T95z pro was discussed a few pages back.
I similar firmware and flash with Amlogic Burn Tools. I'm not sure if a x64 bootloader could be over-flashed with Pie x32?

(Best practice: always flash with Amlogic USB Burn Tool- Uncheck "Erase Bootloader". Flashing Android 9 on top of fresh working Android 7 has cleared up problems for some..)

Amlogic USB Burning Tool latest version 3.1.0

I think I'm still on v2.1.7.0 **upgrading and trying to downgrade will mess with your system.** If it works don't mess with it!!

ReaperMan thanks.Any idea why sometimes AM3 10.4 rom sometimes randomly reboots on my Vorke Z6?

                      Comment

                        Vorke Z6 DDR4 ?? RAM: 2GB / 3GB LPDDR3 / DDR3 / DDR4 ??
                        Which/whose v10.4? firmware.
                        • Random : If you do nothing and China Box eventually reboots (First, kill background apps.)
                        • Very Random: Heat, electrical brown-outs, etc
                        • Less Random: Playing video, downloading, heavy memory usage(Chrome, Youtube etc.)
                        • Not Random : Power supply is failing. ( Common with cheap adapters(types of quality). 5volt 3 amp is ok. Must be 5v, not more!!)
If this is not a problem prior to v10.4, choose another similar mod or go back to stable mod(v10.2) till next release. V10.3 & V10.4 is based on Ugoos(?) kernel.
V 10.4 >system/vedor/media folder is overstuffed(?). Clear some out, to help?( Not sure if this would help.. easy start.. before flashing again.

                        v10.4.1 released (Tanix TX9s) >system modifications?

                        Comment

Thanks. So maybe wait for an update..Do u know if 10.4.1 fw is suitable for vorke z6?Or install 10.2 kernel?

                          Comment

Try v10.2 to see if it is stable....based on different kernel.

                            Comment

Till 10.3 all was fine! Any hope of installing 10.2 kernel on my 10.4 fw? UBT always erases everything for me,even if i uncheck reset option..

                              Comment

Yes, go back to v10.2. If v10.3 & 10.4 fail for you.

Elsewise try Aidan's mod posted previously. Worth a try, his mod is based on Xaiomi(?) kernel.

I'm surprised UBT erases every thing(?) check your version and maybe an update is in order. (I hate messing with it, can really make flashing really impossible.)
