    Mecool BB2 Pro PAL to NTSC?

    How do I change the AV ports output from PAL to NTSC video? All I get is a rolling black and white picture from that connection, so I assume it is in PAL mode. I am in the US.

    under HDMI or Display settings you will find PAL or NTSC

      There is no PAL or NTSC setting under Display settings, just Resolution, Position, Rotation, Daydream, RGB Mode, Status Bar, and HDR. I looked everywhere.

            Cable could be made wrong, try reversing plugs around, on TV Set, red, yellow white.
            Fairly certain 480/60 should have worked been a long time since I have fiddled with AV ports

            Other long shot is the cable you are using there can be a few different types Barrel end can 15mm to 17.5mm in length maybe an issue
            What works on one Box may work on another,
            If I can find my cables I will have a fiddle

              If one opens the box, the jack can be measured and contacts IDed thru process of elimination. Find ground(common), then left and right audio, remaining will be video. Some cable types will ground signal leads when used with some jacks, switching cables may not work.

                Trebor, do you happen to know the correct pinout of the proper cable? I have tried 2 different cables with 2 different pinouts. The ones I have tried are as follows:

                Pin Number Function RCA color
                1 Video yellow
                2 Audio Left white
                3 Audio Right red
                4 ground shield
                And
                Pin Number Function RCA color
                1 Audio Left white
                2 Video yellow
                3 ground shield
                4 Audio Right red
                Also do you know if the AV port and HDMI port are both active at the same time?

                  I dont think you can run both at same time, one or the other, i was going to ask had you removed the HDMI
                  Still looking for Cables soon.

                    Yes I had removed the HDMI cable when I was trying the AV cable. Thanks for looking.

                        From what i see when you plug in AV it Auto detects so setting does not matter
                        Its all in the cable.

                          I just tried your suggestion and all I am getting is the same black and white rolling picture. I tired setting the resolution to auto and also to 480p 60hz also tried RGB mode on and off. Same result. Red is definitely video though. It still looks to me as if it's putting out PAL video instead of NTSC.

                            Hmm working on my monitor
                            1 = white
                            2= red
                            3 = yellow
                            4= ground/shield

                            First cable I found was the same as the second one you mentioned
                            Got a another tv to try ?

                            Dont have a Multimeter on hand to test cable I gather

                            Not more to do.

                              In the description for the Mecool BB2 Pro it says: "Other Functions: 3D Games,3D Video,Airplay,DLNA,Miracast,NTSC,PAL " So there must be a way to switch between PAL and NTSC, but I cannot find how.
