A fairly typical Sunvell media player, bootup animation etc, same ui's and performance is also pretty much good as most of these Sunvell players appear.
Not much air circulation to be found and temps not over the top so far, so it could be an ok unit a few days of torture will find that out.
Performance while running test overall nothing appeared out of place and all was as it should be, bit of performance with ram speed, WiFI and Ethernet speeds good at this location, and the overall performance much the same as other 912,
The Colour may put some off, with the mass of Black boxes about it is different.
Why they bothered with the one coloured Indication Led that can change to the standard Blue, Light blue and Green I don't know yet.
A Good unit if you're looking for something a little different.

Unit does have root.
Sunvell Media Players do support OTA updates nothing as yet for this one.

They all can start a little rough, a little TLC from Freaktab usually gets most media players sorted.
If you're not happy with the mixed up colour look of the Base different to the Top you can alter the tiles for a les OCD look, a individual thing of course
Had good fiddle last week with this unit and its doing well, bit of a clean out of the Junk, running FTMC instead of Kodi does all I need it to do, easy
and of course the colour, good to see a bit of difference.
Yet to check out firmware above, pretty happy with what it can do at present but will have a look just the same

I am considering cutting a hole in the top of the case to allow a large PC heatsink to fit, is the heatsink built into this device facing upright when you open the case? Would be a problem if it was facing the bottom (unless I ran it upside down and cut a hole in the bottom)

Hmm yes a laptop cooler should do the job just as well.
Wonder if there is anywhere to conveniently pull the power for a fan from on the board.
Then could use a rom with 2ghz unlocked... would be nice i bet.
