they kicked out firmware update 0.11

Can you remember what the changelog was for 0.11?
I will only be able to check later today.

Must say it's the most ota updates I've ever received on any Android tv box, loving it.

ok i have tried different vpn apps and you cannot use a vpn with the LAN connected it simply disconnects the LAN when you try and connect the vpn

not the case with your Shield? Company router or your router? You checked your router settings, it's not being defeated there?

And that's a new one I guess question mark had been working fine before? I guess you ran the latest update? Have you looked in your prop settings, there's usually a VPN option in there.

clearing dalvik from recovery has fix some similar issues for me

Base cache apps open with, I beleive... Some settings may go to defaulf. But not an issue if backed up.
Sort of clean reboot/ rebuild of system across the board with minimal disruption to your individualized set-up.
Accessed thru TWRP (Wipe: Dalvik only) or Titanium has command access too.

You might put the OTA on a sd, run it in with twrp... Again only wiping Dalv cache?
If your ATV, not classic ....I maybe out of my depth.
