Moving along we can start to have a close look at what we have here: again thanks Gearbest
Hardware is looking OK,
We have S/PIDF, RTC Battery, Clock, External Antenna, and 4/128GB HUGE
Also included is the Voice Remote
A few extra in MG settings
Root Switch, Screen Rotation Force, Hardware monitor


Start up all good no weird stuff.
The connection to WiFi or Ethernet tested good.

Google Login easy, a few apps to update, so far so good.
A groovy looking UI home screen and a few features to be found in settings

After more tinkering what we have overall is a fairly Good kinda of Unit,
A custom Rom would make it better, not sure if any of the Devs will have/get one one these.

Vulcan appears not activated as yet, or reported by software
Remote works well and squirrel mouse (all over the place)
Remote appears to be always in voice activated (listening) mode at present with Hello Google

Most else appears to work well as it should may need a few updates to make it 100%
There are currently no OTA seen and nothing much on Magicsee website as far as updates

Price looking OK for what get lets hope and they can do some magic with updates and see some improvements

There is a few 922x around firmware should be able to keep up (we can only hope)

Using a 12v 1.5amp power pack should be ample but if your going to attache HDD's a powered hub or HDD I recommend
if the older spinner types, maybe ok with SSD,
BUT more Amps is always better.

And just remember that bit black tape on that LED, its bright

Most now should be aware of some limitations of Android well mentioned on Freaktab in most box threads.
What it can and cant do as opposed to what the user thinks it should be able to do and what is advertised

May add a few more bits as I tinker on the bench for awhile.
