Update to 7.1.2 without Burning Tool?

    Hi,
I'd like to update my A912 from Android 6.0.1 (113M0) to stock 7.1.2. I understood that the best way is using the burning tool, but I have a problem as I don't have the cable (I know, can be bought) but also I don't have any Windows device available as I am on MacBook.

Is there a way to update from this version via SD card? I've read about possibility of brick which I wouldn't want to occur, so is there safe image, that can be flashed via microSD?
Tried to search the forum but without any luck.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello,

You can only update the firmware from system 6.x (101MO, 301MO) to system 7.x (701NO) by USB updating, because you have the possibility of the brick+++. That's my case...

Yes my friend, with Windows & you must to buy a cable USB: 7Euros on Amazon.

        You need this USB tool:

There is no version Androïd TV custom for this S/N. We have to wait...

This one is for A912 too.
Thanks for your help, glad I didn't try microSD.
