Android Building - where do you grab device binaries from?

    Hi all...

Curious as to where you Build Masters get the device binaries for specific hardware in regards to this GT1 box, in order to build your AOSP Android versions?

Just a newbie, in IT, wondering and reading how Android AOSP is built.

    Thanks in advance...Eric

    Hello,

    You mean the SDK right?
Then you can use the SDK from developer boards with AML CPU.
    As example this here:
    Amlogic A311D / S912 / S905X | Single Board Computers

    There you find both SDK.
For building the ROM from source use BBQ Linux.
It has all you need inside.

Thanks for the example, that helps...will look into that when I am out of office. Didn't know BBQ Linux existed, am only familiar (somewhat) with Ubuntu, so I will look at that as well.

BBQ Linux is based on Arch Linux an Rolling Release Linux Distro. Similar to Ubuntu but has more Power.
Also it has all on board what you need for rom development.

Just downloaded the cinnamon ISO, will put it on a USB stick to play around first.
