Ok you need update I recall then OTA should work.

Very easy to use and Burn with software you show maybe install again.
I think you have Vista not sure if 100%..maybe other PC/laptop
Lots of variables can cause fail

Use USB 3 (blue) on player to burn

Not work OTA I was try it yesterday
I was going settings/about tablet/ check for updates and tell you have the latest version
My SEA I have 101 firmware version
I don't know if problem is the HDD because I have it plug in

It does have OTA update in settings, to check for online update. try that maybe easy if you are using Stock Rom

About the brightness , you can cover the light in SEA1 with a cotton when you see a movie on SEA1 , The weaker brightness in 1% or 0% function will update in 105 MO
