Troubleshooting Ott Android Tv Box M8

So I recently ended up having to try and fix someone's android TV box after it bricked. To the best of my knowledge, they would not have tried to alter the image or software to cause the issue yet this is what is appearing when trying to boot up - http://imgur.com/RPIPHE6.

I've tried using the reset button at the back of the box and holding it down with the power off (re-inserting the cable and holding for 30 secs) yet doesn't allow access to factory settings.

Any ideas ?

To get to factory settings a recivery has to be installed. Does it finish bpoting into system the image shown is boot screen.
