Remove almost everything from an Android TV box (keeping only what's needed)?
Remove almost everything from an Android TV box (keeping only what's needed)?
Hi,
I have no use at all for any Google functions or apps (like Play Store, Calendar, Contacts etc.) on my Android TV box which is a A95X Plus (S905Y2).
I tried disabling all the Google-related apps and that worked fine. But then I went to delete them from the system with Root file browser and that created a broken TV box.
How do I safely remove all the Google related apps and all unecessary apps?
For example, I am not able to find where the Play Store is installed to?
You have to do this in the Firmware direct on the PC.
After that you have to reflash the Firmware.

Yes, that's the plan, but to test it out I started with removing them with Root file browser. Do you know which apps are safe to remove?
And where is the Play Store located? Is it included in another apk?
You can use root explorer and remove apps.
I make you a list what to remove
Hi ,
