Hmm.. looks like Amazon has released a new device named: Fire TV Stick Lite
Seems limit to 1080p

The new Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite includes a Mediatek MT8695D Quad Core SoC with Cortex-A53 processors capable of reaching 1.7Ghz and a PowerVR GE8300 MP4 GPU
The Fire OS 7 system is based on Android 9. It has only 1 GB of DDR4 RAM and only 8GB of eMMC storage.

Its currently on the german Amazon site
For about 30 euro

Just looking at the CPU, Amazon brought a Gun to a Knife fight! The Mediatek MT8695D is equivalent to an AMlogic S905X2 minus the 4K capabilites, and the Xiaomi Mi Stick S805X is comparable to the old Amlogic S905 original chip.

It would be really cool...
If some freaktab developer could mod the firmware...
So, it could do 4k video playback... if possible
