Which music player app for playing from NAS?

    Which music player app for playing from NAS?

    Hello,

    any suggestion for a music player application which can see NAS share? SMB?

    PowerAMP is not able no clue what else to use or perhabs how to set it up, to see my NAS share

    XMBC is an option, but i would like to get something like PowerAMP

    I don't have much experience with using this app, but if you have eHomeMediaCenter installed and it's a Rockchip device, you can use a shared folder on the computer server. Once there, you just pick which player you prefer. At least, that's how I think it should work.



    Someone also mentions another app in the thread, you may try that out, too.

      Interested in finding Options also. Media Monkey on my Windows Machine is the Bomb would like to find something similar for My new RK3288.

        Hmm correct me if im wrong, but that app is and DLNA/uPnP server so thats not what im looking for.

          I have a Synology NAS and they have a very nice music app for Android, your NAS may have one also. You can also install plex server on your Zyxel NAS.

            guys i dont want steaming apps there are plenty of those and is not the same as winamp,poweramp and such players

              I see Media Monkey now has a Android version. (Media Monkey was a fork of Winamp in the early days of developmwnt)

              I have not used it yet, plan on trying it in the next day or 2

              free version & paid Pro Versions available from the Play store.

              the interface looks nothing like the Windows app.
