    Gaming

Hello is there TV boxes that is better than Nvidia shield for gaming.
Gaming and emulating retro consoles like nes snes n64.
And does any box play fortnite native and not only geforce now.
The x88king seems to have hardware for it but after read no updates on firmware that one goes away then the beelink GT-King pro seems better option. But is there any even better with even more ram also like 8gb ram and better processor.

Even if pricing is like nvidia. I would be very happy with a highend snapdragon TV Box. But that probably never gonna happend

Thanks for your point. Yea it looks like a shield is the way.

        But for the other boxes.
The ugoos seems quite good sad quite small storage soace 32gb is on the lower end but on the other hand ugoos have bt 5.0. thats a big plus if i want to use bt headset sometimes no audio delay
The beelink gt pro seems also very good have bt 4.1 but edr that can do the audio delay less. And it has a little newer processor the one with a h in dont know the diffrence .One pros on this is 64gb storage.

Then there is Magicsee n6 also sounds good and big storage.

What i read ugoos and beelink cones out with with update.
Or is that wrong. Does anyone else have some input in this thread.
        I want more input.
If it ends up with an nvidia or some other good box

          Hmm..
The only way to beat nvidia shield tv..
Install Android x86 or its forks : PhoenixOS x86 , BlissOS x86, Android tv X86 ect...
          On a highend Intel PC
-Then you can use as much RAM, Harddrive space as you wish
-You can even upgrade to differend android versions/forks
-You can make it dualboot (for example: EmuElec/LibreElec/Win10/Android x86)

          Some notes:
ETA prime on youtube - reviews gaming and emulating on many arm/x86 devices and OS's
The Nvidia shield tv ( cylinder ) version has a 32bit OS / Some emu apps require 64bit OS
Android TV OS based Boxes.. have in most cases a limited version of google-market ( less app access )

          goodluck

Thanks Yea it sounds like shield is the only way.
But on limited market there are many market to install from.
Or just transfer the apk from a tablet and try that version.
So install apps cant be a problem.

            More input are welcome.

Looks like a shield gonna be ordered.

I hope tv box maker go into helio processors or snspdragon

But a tv box eith helio g90t that would be awedome.

I want a box to tinker with, one that is cheap and performs poor stock but with some cooling improvements it can be better.

I already have both the Shield pro and shield tube but im leaving those alone they are perfect right out of the box and dont need anything improved IMO.

I want something under $100. to tinker with.

I dont see a reason to get anything near the shield tube price $130. (is what i paid for it on amazon) or the $180. for the pro

under $100. to tinker with is what im wanting.

Right now i have the T95Q that i upgraded the cooling on and got antutu marks from 55k stock to 68k after cooling, The N5 with the S905X3 i got it from 59k stock up to 72k with better cooling.

Im thinkning maybe the S922X is the next chip to go with?

I just got one of those A311D Khadas DIY kits and its nice if you want to build your own Android box its nice and small and so far i cant tell which one is faster the Shield pro or this Khadas unit

The Shield is pretty fool proof but has alot of bloat apps, the Khadas has just what you need and nothing else. When it was all said and done i think i gave about the same for both of them right around $200.
