    internal sensors for rk3188 (mk802iv)

does any one know weather mk802iv has an internal temperature sensor?
    afaik rk3066 has one.

Seems they have, but no idea of how access them. In Kernel source seems thete is some code related them, but they are disconnected.

    leolas.

hmm... there goes the plan of extended temperature loging...

Need to add the sensor and some components.

After trying to get the rk3066 code to work on rk3188 I don't think the rk3188 has temperature sensor. I got the module in the kernel code to compile and init properly, but it just returns 0.

This could be of course because the register is on a different adress, but if you compare the datasheet briefs of both processors, the rk3066 does mention the sensor and the rk3188 explicitly does not.

Also when I look at the code the bq tablets use:

I see they added a TI tmp108 temp sensor and interfaced that in cpufreq.c. I guess they have the full TRM for rk3188, and if they added an extra temperature sensor that is probably because the rk3188 does not have it.

          just my 2 cents,
          Lars
