    Good work mate.

I haven't tried it yet but how are you searching for the userdata folder? If you have hardcoded sdcard/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc then it will only work on the official version and not on Minix, Beyond, SPMC etc. If you have already included a way to back up the custom ones then good work.

You've covered just about every one I know of anyway. Good job mate. There was some obscure named one that came on my amlogic device. I will get the structure for it next time I'm on there.

Edited and I shall test it tomorrow for you mate.

One thing I'm not sure if you remembered to backup is the sources.xml file from the install folder not the userdata folder if redirecting like I do in my version. I shall test that tomorrow as well.

its backing up whole directory structure starting from /sdcard/Android/data/hk.minix.xbmc, org.xbmc.xbmc etc, but your idea is probably better to migrate acros difrent xbmc versions. Will need to update again

Cheers mate. sources.xml in data/data/com.flumpster.xbmc/cache/apk/assets/system/ is going to be the important one for me because if they reinstall the apk and restore a backup without it all the library will still be intact but all their added sources will be missing and not able to update.

to copy anything from /data folder root permissions are needed and i would like to avoid that as not everyone have rooted devices:"

Haha, I agreed with Flumpster Everyone should have at least root to go into this site. If it is too complicated, just add " For rooted users only" for a full backup, if no root, you will be missing source"...something like that.
And Thank you lewy20041 for a great app!!

with this app you get 1 zip file which you can export to store on pendrive or somethimg.
its easier to copy 1 zip file insted of 1000+ small files
