I'm having a little problem with RKCodec on build 25, when i enable it, The built-in subtitles begin to flash in some moments of the video/tv show...

        I have a MX9 4K running android 5.1, if i disable it, this doesn't happen...

        and i'm running a 1920x1080 H.264 AC3 video...

Then your firmware is to blame.
Unfortunately it is a no-name device and there is no new firmware for it.
You can still try to update the 2 codec files - https://github.com/JamesLinEngineer/...22x/Android5.1

That depends on where you look, I have found a few MX9 Firmware files and have used one of them on another Box a MXR Pro rk3229.

Do you happen to know which version of the Firmware do you have, if nothing else that info should be in /system/build.prop file.

Good luck, since all those firmwares are for different wifi chips.
If you know the wifi chip in your device it might help to identify the correct firmware.

But you should copy over those 2 codec files otherwise FTMC won't work.

I will need to try the Codec's again last time I tried them every video was FULL Screen even though the source was not.

I have a D5 2gb / 16gb that was also having Problems with playing videos, Most of the Problem was searching forward or back, I used a librkffplayer.so from
a known working firmware and it plays and searches just fine.

The MXR Pro Box also works well with 5.1.1 I also Burned 4.4.4 to the Same box and all Videos play Great never had a problem.

But I am kinda New to all of this Android OS stuff, and you are a Rom Developer so you do know more than I do that is for sure.

All I do is is try to make the Boxes that I have play HEVC 10 Bit files first then test other types to make sure the player works well before I gift it to a Needy Family.

It seems that I have a lot of time on my hands since I retired.

Build 26 up in the 1ยบ post.
Dont forget that ftmc now have its own path "org.xbmc.ftmc/files/.ftmc" and can be used with kodi at the same time.
To the ones that are updating from 25 or earlier builds you guys need to go to the root of internal storage and in "Android/data" folder you see the "org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi" you guys need to rename it like the line above or simple use the backup addon...

First post still mentions FTMC build 25 before the v26 links

For the external player, if you eg. add MXPlayer to the playercorefactory file then you can press 'c' on a video link to play with MXPlayer or any other external player you set up.
Pressing back takes you back immediately to inside FTMC with no popups or any messages, really quick now.
While a video is playing inside FTMC, you can also press 'y' to send it to an external player.
Remember MXPlayer don't work well with SAMBA files over a network.
Pressing 'z' can alter all the different zoom aspect ratio settings if something is too stretched or have black borders.

There is an addon for it.
You can install it from the following addon - subsunacs/subsab v0.0.15e , Bulgarian Bg Add-ons

FTMC also supports Python 2.7, so addons that only work on Kodi 17 can also work on FTMC but not on other Kodi 16.1 apps(except SPMC).
