Customise XBMC

Hi - I want to customise XBMC at our school (running on a g18ref box) & one thing that has been asked is can I change the XBMC splash (boot) screen?

We want to use the school logo on the XBMC splash screen? Give the kids a project to design it

Is this possible, and if YES - how can I do it?

im a freak when it comes to xbmc.
im using it about 8 years or so now (i have even a website http://xbmcfreak.xorg.pl/ but didnt update it in long time)

XBMC with both libstage, mediacodec AND amlogic

IS there a version of XBMC around (12.4 fixes with mousewheel etc.) that runs on BOTH rockchip and AMlogic devices depending on what you click in settings => playback ?

for example, i like Flumpsters Beyond XBMC take on Rockchip - but i also have a MX2 box with AMlogic that requires AMlogic ofcourse..

is there a way to "mix it" so user decides to run on either one ?

Have you tried beyond xbmc on the amlogic? I have one here but I haven't got around to testing it yet.

buildprop is something like MBX (gref18)

Got another stupid question...

Is there a way to get the addons from XBMC to play to my DLNA devices or to another instance of XBMC on my network?

XBMC on PC (server) with addons
XBMC on T428 nothing installed except Beyond XBMC (Found out how to share local files from PC to Android)
Or to my WDTV Hubs

Or is it better to setup XBMC fully on both devices? I have a My Book Live on the network....just wondered did I NEED to duplicate the library on each device....

trying to figure out the best way....
