    Been waiting for these chipsets to arrive....
    Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.

      This is the SOC I've been talking about being king for the videophile on the Android platform.

      Dolby Vision as well as HDR.

        Video playback should be very good.
        But people should realise it has the same CPU as in RK3368 not a A17 that is in the RK3288 devices.
        Himedia also uses an external player for Kodi and has no proper internal Mediacodec or similar RKCodec as in Rockchip devices.
        So the 23.976fps smooth playback will only be possible with the built-in media player and no other app.
        In Kodi forum users report 23.976fps videos still have a slight stutter, so it is not fully fixed yet.
        But it is really good to see some new chipsets being released and providing more choice for customers.

        The new Realtek chipset will have a faster CPU and also HDR and Dolby vision, so it will be interesting to compare it's performance and price against the Himedia one.

            They seem to support chipsets for linux as well.
