What's in the Box

The Blue ring of confidence = it working, also a small blue LED on front.
Flashed Red during power down etc

Interesting Android, very bright and settings also looks very sharp

Ok whats inside had a feeling looking at the Layout of Connectors and yep the CX-W8 but improved

Bit of a look see underneath heat sink etc

Ram is Samsung

Ok so there is a start on whats in the box etc.

I like the Blue led on top also Power button easy On and Off, no fiddle switch around the back, Tap once goes to a standby mode both Android and Windows
Small Compact as mentioned like it.

Its been running now for about 35 minutes or so just loading software nothing to heavy as yet.
Temperature is sitting on 45c peaked at 50c while doing stuff so not going over the top, yet will stress it latter and see if it has a melting point.
They say first impression are the best. I like it so far look good and the quick loading of software easy Wi-Fi speed good.

No WinToANd it remembers last boot goes to that OS a little quicker no need to Bios Switch (well see anyway)
You do have feature In either Windows or Android to switch out
Idle temp 40~50 when doing a small amount of things
Used AIDA64 ran in hot got for 16 minutes or so 2 cores to 70c other 2 65c,
While doing review now 30 minutes nearly and temps still the same.

Performance is good and Netflix Plex as in all these boxes easy.
Kodi I will put on soon but we know it pretty tame in windows

Enjoy, its small heat is no big deal still have more bits to fiddle, should do the Job
I still wonder about Android and Windows on the same box is it needed Hmm.

Nice write-up trebor. I'm interested in the 'switch OS" functionality. Also, how does Android perform on this box?

Android has a 4 GB space to install apps, think its a 20/10 GB format or there abouts.
The OS switch is quicker, and as mentioned last boot/power down is what it boots on start.

Bios is different need to go thru recovery first to get there to set up the usual way,
Android is colourful and looks the goods only annoyance to me is the Icons on screen side as in an Image above with butterflies.
Yet to do any heavy testing on the Android side of this unit as yet, Netflix works (Not HD) is one thing I found.

Buy hitting escape key this is the First Part of the Bios Screen
Usual Bios Settings can be found and some other things I am yet to fully understand.

Mainboard looks identical (even labelled as CX-W8)... I dont own CX-W8 any more but I would bet that you could flash the BIOS from this onto CX-W8 and get the same switch feature.... Can you extract BIOS from your machine and share it?

Yep looks the same, also the Cenevo/Aionol Mini II, a few different things on the board so may not be 100%
No plan to rip the Bios out yet, one day soon maybe.

Tronsmart are very late to the party with their Wintel box and I can't help wonder if, at the price point that it has anything to separate it from the rest to make it a worthwhile purchase.

trebor if you need to choos what you buy? what about heat temperature WHOO is the best? is ther any tv box with dual boot that support 4k?

None of these will support 4k.
New models soon may do.
The chip design/SOC of these Intel model does not.
What ever one you buy you will be happy with and of course the price.
These are 32gb units you make need to get a 64gb unit

All run Windows fine and the same
I tend to like the RKM Android presently
