[SUGGESTIONS] Powerful box, best bang for buck

    Hello Everyone,

I have been interested in buying a cheap box that comes with gigabit LAN and without heat issues.
Been looking around but I am still to find such a box , do you guys have any suggestions about available or soon to come boxes for me?

    EDIT:
Specs that would be ideal for me would be:

    > Intel Based CPU
    > 64Bit Windows OS
    > 4Gb Memory
    > USB 3.0
    > Gigabit LAN
    > Remote control via a RC or Keyb/Mouse

    EDIT2: (thanks to trebor)
I have come to the conclusion that I have to go for a NUC for my needs, posting it here if it helps anyone:-

Tronsmart Ara B19 (Weight <400grams, Gigabit LAN, 1x USB3.0 port, 3x USB2.0 ports, Display port + HDMI, CPU QuadCore Intel J1900)
    [$115.99] (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Trons...398227878.html)

    4GB DDR3L
    [$24.29] (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DDR3L...398274227.html)

1TB 2.5 HDD (will open up external 2.5 HDD case and put the HDD inside the NUC)
    [$58.89] (http://www.****.com/itm/111485362248...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)

    OS
[$~] (any OS of your choosing)

[$199.17] Total cost without OS licensing

To my knowledge, there are no boxes available yet with Gigabit ethernet.

We may see some when more Cherry Trail boxes are released.
R-TV BOX S10, Beebox N3150, Chuwi Hibox, Nvidia Shield, A95X Max

Might have to go with something like a Zotac Zbox: http://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-CI320-Pa...rds=zotac+zbox

This box looks interesting, but it comes without memory and ssd disk, the price will get then close to $200
I guess I might have to wait, I also saw that there is a SUB 3,0 to gigabit ethernet device being sold might consider that if there is an intel box without heat issues that comes with USB 3.0

You will pay s lot lot more for a 4 GB unit you would be better getting a Intel NUC type Unit.
                Voyo had a 4 / 64 GB unit was around $259us.

Hmm ok, this NUC model seems interesting:

But am curious to know the major difference between this NUC above and the TV boxes (size seems to be 2x smaller for the TV boxes, but apart froom that?)

NUC you need to supply your own Ram and HDD and Software add that to the overall price. May get a bit more power in a NUC,
I have PC's with more power than you could ever want but these small boxes are interesting to see what you can do with minimal power/parts.
Bang for the Buck theory.......It's Cheap, It works and a bit of fun on the way

If that NUC is what you need then go for it.......
I would look for something with a slightly beefier CPU and close to the same price.
                    Cheers

Yes indeed, I will go for a NUC as I need something more powerful than the TV boxes.

I am thinking on going with the Tronsmart Ara B19 as its got a fairly powerful CPU and meets all my other requirements:
                      http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...1900-processor

Only small negative is that its not fanless, but I think cooling is required as its more powerful than a TV box and the small fan noise should not be audible anyway.
The very good things is that its quite light <400grams, has gigabit LAN, 1x USB 3.0 port, 2x USB2.0 ports, Display port + HDMI

                      The final configuration should be:-

                      Tronsmart Ara B19
                      [$115.99] (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Trons...398227878.html)

                      4GB DDR3L
                      [$24.29] (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/DDR3L...398274227.html)

1TB 2.5 HDD (will open up external 2.5 HDD case and put the HDD inside the NUC)
                      [$58.89] (http://www.****.com/itm/111485362248...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)

                      Windows 10 OS
                      [$~] (I already own a spare Win10 license)

[$199.17] Will be an all in one solution for NAS, TV Box (plex, Kodi), Download station, Windows10 productivity without having to run my main gaming PC.
                      Thanks for the help man

Looks good, better and cooler with an SSD and a a bit faster if you can go that far but its up to the $$$

                        Cheers
