On the USB2 problem that I had, I had another go last night. I went into the BIOS setting, and playing around with some settings there. Disabling the USB2 Link Power Management doesn't solve the problem but it seems disabling the USB2 PHY Power Gating does help. The pipo has been running for few hours with my keyboard and mouse connected and actively using them. No USB error until now. If I don't update this reply, it means that the change to the BIOS does help

Hi DJ, thanks for the links, they actually worked! Downloaded the files and extracted the image, then got the touchsettings.gt file. Put it into the windows INF folder and rebooted - got a blue screen! So then I uninstalled the goodix driver and reinstalled, the touchscreen worked. Rebooted - blue screen again and when back in Windows, no touch screen!!! Got a feeling that file may have been causing the trouble on the OEM installation... Also USB can be a bit hit and miss!!!

Not sure where to go from here, worst case scenario I can manage without the touchscreen, but that's not the point, and it would be handy to have it working!!!!

I think the Pipo hardware is good, makes a great media server, but the software implementation is NOT good.

Then I was able to extract the TouchSetting.gt file and copy it in the Windows\inf folder. It works now.

Hello guys, I'm brand new here and just received my Pipo X9S like yours.
The original Windows 10 installation was in chinese, so, like some of you, I had to do a fresh and clean install to make it usable.
I'm used to Windows installation and drivers stuff, and like some of you, I had the same issues. Now it is almost done, all the devices are well installed in the device manager and i still have one issue : the touchscreen does not works. After a few research, I found we need one more file to make the Goodix touch HID driver working : touchsetting.gt, it has to be copied in the "C:\Windows\inf" folder, then after a reboot, it should works. (http://techtablets.com/forum/topic/t...win10-install/)
As I was not aware of this, I didn't copied it before to do the fresh install. I find such file for other tablet, when I copy it in the folder, the touchscreen works but not as it should (logic, it is not the same screen configuration). So if some of you still has the original Win10 installation, could you please post the touchetting.gt file located in your C:\Windows\inf ?
Thanks a lot for your help.
If you have question about how I was able to install all the devices, feel free to ask.

Don't worry! I just installed the multi-language version of Windows 10 and it has activated!!! Thanks again for all your help!! Only issue I’m finding is the touchscreen can be a little temperamental, only works when it wants!!!

So the next project... get it dual booting with Linux!!! :-)

When I did a fresh install on mine, it is already pre-activated with Windows 10 home. I will PM you the activation code that is in the firmware when I get back home (I'm on GMT+8).

...looks like Linux isn't as straight forward to install as I'd hoped!!! Any luck with activation for Windows 10?

Hi wiraone, just to let you know, the drivers worked!!! everything functioning as I need so far. Got foobar going with my Lenovo android mobile controlling it! Only issue now is getting an activation code. Do I need to install the multilingual version of windows to get a working code? Tried to contact the seller but heard nothing from them for about 5 days so far (there's a surprise!).

If all else fails may have to try Linux...

Either way, thank you very much for your help! It's very much appreciated!!! You're a star!!

Will post anymore findings or troubles I have here...

I re-installed a fresh Win10 downloaded from Microsoft server just now. It seems the USB works without any problem .. not until I restore all the drivers originally dumped using the double driver app. I'm going to do another fresh install and will not load the drivers from pipo and see how it goes.

Alright, here is the drivers dump (selected the non-intel, non-microsoft drivers):

It has kionik sensors driver, Goodix Touch driver (I guess this is for the touch screen), audio driver and network drivers (wired and wireless).

Hope the above will helps you to get everything sorted. Good luck.

I'm sorry, it was double driver (http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/deta...le_driver.html) app.

On the USB problem, I've tried all the recommended settings found on the net but still have a problem with any USB devices connected to the USB2 ports. I've actually packed back the X9S into the box and I've no idea what I'm going to do with it now. My intention of buying it is to be a gateway for my ham radio stuff (which uses USB) and now since I couldn't get it to work, probably will sell it off but I'll feel bad if the buyer couldn't get the USB working either.

BTW, I'll see if I can find the touchscreen driver(s) using the double driver, if yes, I'll upload it into dropbox and share it here.

Just installed the OBOOK drivers and it's done all but 4. They are all Unknown devices!!! The audio works now, but the touchscreen still doesn't!

p.s. I 'updated' the drivers individually. Not sure what you mean by driverdump utility...?
