CHUWI HiBox Mini PC Android 5.1 + Window 10 Dual OS 64bit
Decent specs for the price and looks like a good all rounder.
Dual OS, good RAM and storage and good to see AC WiFi and 128Gb expandable storage capability.
Just needs a few amendments in the listing:
HDMI Version: 1.0 should read 1.4b RJ45 Port Speed: No should show that it does have ethernet and whatever speed it is Power Consumption: 0.22W It is too low and is likely to be 5v/2 or 3a External Subtitle Supported: No. This will be dictated by the software used, so should be removed Micro SD Card Slot. It looks like a full sized slot to me DVD Support: No. Windows 10 would be able to support an external DVD player via a USB port if required. WiFi Chip: No. Clearly not the case and not relevant to the firmware section. Decoder Format: H.263,H.264,HD MPEG4. The Z8350 will also handle H265, so worth mentioning as it will be a selling point.
Looking on the Chuwi site the specs are clearer and has Gigabit ethernet too, which is another big bonus.

Bit of a look see on the Inside
Well made PCB good heat sink looking good so far, not a lot of ventilation to be seen to testing will see how this fella peforms
Ram used is SKhynix and the WiFi Chip AP6234 (forgot the closeups and its all back together)
Lets have a look at Chuwi HiBox First in Android 5.1 mode because thats how it booted first.
Normally not a fan of Android/Windows on the one unit, I would wipe Android and make it all windows,
In saying that and after running a few test this beast is a bit of a monster in Android Mode
Very Smooth and fast with Android 5.1 and test will show no smoke at mirrors here it's the real deal.
First boot we ended up in Android no option to go Windows or Android, straight in Android and get greeted with an update sound good to me do it.
Then we ran thru the usual lot of test to see what it can do and as mentioned a bit of a surprise I have not seen numbers like this inawhile
After the first reset I got to see the onscreen Android or Windows boot screen small remoted supplied was able select easy
Must say a good little remotes works very well in Android 5.1 no fuss or bother also works as an propper Air Mouse.
Used the Logitech K830 keyboard combo as well all easy...
Next will be Windows..
Here we have to Boot Selection, Android or WIndows, works with supplied remote
I'm not surprised by the numbers because the combination of CPU and GPU does make it more powerful than ARM SOC's.
The other great advantage to a dual boot box is that all those TV and movie streaming services that are restricted from running under Android will work under Windows.
The Supplied remote also works well as and Air mouse in Windows
Small Blue Led showing its powered
Full Version Windows Good to see
Look at what makes it happen
15 minutes in I think its as hot as its going to get
While giving it the treatment with Aidia64, Windows also was doing the update to the latest in the background seem to cope fine no melted blob on the bench
Well lets face it having a 64 bit chip and installing 32 bit is like getting the Ferrari and putting a austin mini motor in it. (No reference to the British)
Many devices now mk902ii/Shield/Mk68 /Ugoos/neox5/minix5 (yes they still work lol) mk80 no it doesnt work lol.
