Today Thanks again to Minix we can have a close look


This is a 4/64 unit more aimed a little at industry or Business with VGA port but many old old monitors so made for all really
Also this unit thanks again to Minix was supplied with a 240GB M2 Drive.
Will have lots of room


According to the Instructions we need to activate Windows on the Box first
Then to Cmos, Disable the eMMC and reboot,
Windows is also On M2
It will need to be setup again but you loose that 64gb eMMC as storage its not huge
But always a work around, boot from USB with a Windows boot USB ,after enable the eMMC,
Do a custom install and Delete the eMMC partitions only again that's if you're desperate for that 64GB

As some may have seen previously the MINIX NEO J50C-4: INTEL GEMINI LAKE AND WINDOWS 10 Intel PC a recently reviewed,
The Startup etc is the same or will be, so I won't dwell on this part,
Switch on agree with it, pretty much done.

I will install the M2 then we will have a look around and some test to see what we have.

Lets see whats on the inside of this rather Heavy Beast of a Minix Fanless Mini PC – NEO G41V-4
as you will see solid quality Build



Remove the base: M2 Slot that can be gotten via trap door: WiFi and BT PCB


Forgot to show the trap door to install the M2: Real easy no need to dive into the innerds to install more Space


Out with the PCB Huge Heat Sink: RTC and all the bits,

Huge Copper Slab atop CPU: just visible


Top is Ventilated to the Max: WiFi Antenna Top Right Corner, BT Bottom Center


First Run:
Fired up agreed with the Windows settings to get things up and running.
Powered Off installed M2:
Into CMOS and disabled eMMC,
Second Run:
Reboot did a proper set up again of WIndows 10 on the M2 all good with 10 or so minutes:

All up and running Windows 10 we can have a quick look at the Basics for now.

Running Build 1903 so not a Huge update to do we hope:

You may have noticed there is no Extra Memory slot, this Mini PC will have 4GB, more than enough for the small Home office,
Business Industry PC, and a general Home use PC:

Again not High End Gaming Unit, but a Quality Built from Minix.

Then we check the for Updates: Not to much to worry about here


All pretty Good really not to much of a time waste with no hiccups we are on the way, MS$ has all you bases

To Continue with the Minix Fanless Mini PC – NEO G41V-4
Did a few of basic tests to check out how it handles the heat under pressure to observe how well it can perform.
And Basic Graphic and CPU ID/tests
All went as expected no Meltdowns or puffs of smoke to be seen.

A lot of these test can Max out these Mini PC, remember they are only a guide and normally daily usage they many never get this Stressed/Hot

So lets do some stressing a good way to start:

Just finished updates: etc bit of a tidy up so here we are all idle and ready to rumble.


After 10 minutes: Up goes the temps......

Cool down after 5 minutes: will take a bit as there is no air flow as in fan to speed up the process

Hardware Info: Can never have too much Information


As seen, No Power House World Dominator, but you could cause a lot of Kaos with this Minix Neo G41V-4
Plenty of good uses, Good hardware, Home Office, School, Business/Industry just depends on the users needs.
Even a good burning machine for Burning Android Roms if you don't own a Windows PC.

I will fiddle more on the bench for a few more days bit of streaming netflix etc,
Being Intel its all pretty Basic stuff for it really.
I may also do a bit of VC-1 viewing, just because it can.
