I'm currently having some issues with NAS and I want to remove the internal HDD and put in in a HDD enclosure.
Is it possible for the Z64A to connect it via USB 2.0 so I can watch the media on it as if it? Can the Z64 power the HDD okay? Does anyone else do this or does everyone connect a USB Thumbdrive or external HDD?
Basically it shouldn't be a problem, BUT do you talk about 2.5" or 3.5"?
At 3.5" the external case has an own psu (power supply) ... but at 2.5" external case it could be that you have to use, if the case has no own psu, an active hub (this depends on the power the HDD needs to spin on)...
I have a WD Elements 3,5" 1Tb USB2.0 and a Toshiba CANVIO 2,5" USB3.0 working without any problem
