UHOST 1 Finless Rom. (U1A)

Hiya,

I own a UHOST 1 and i have been looking everywhere for a good rom for it.


I know that MK802 roms work fine except for wifi, and i have also learned that the Finless MK802 rom is FANTASTIC.

please could someone advise me how to get a working wifi with Finless Rom on my UHOST (U1A) or perhaps compile my own rom from sources?

i did a patch to fix some issues on this device long time ago. first you can try downloading the latest rom.

Upgrade instructions

1. Download and unpack downloaded file on your computer
2. Start LiveSuit.exe
3. Press and hold the button next to the mini USB port
4. Plug USB cable to computer (use the USB cable that came with your device)
5. Install USB drivers
6. When promoted by LiveSuit select first installation option "Yes" twice
7. When done unplug Uhost and boot on TV

If the Uhost get stuck on boot logo after upgrade, reflash the device using the same steps.

Ok, I will try to do adb patch for the last rom posted here. The one thas has no chinese apps. I will download the rom, then start studing it what it jeeds and what basic stuff can added.

actualy its allready in english. the other one that is newer the only different its that has chinesee aps and nothing more so we will work on this if needed.

it has he ugly launcher as usual.

it works smoth.

i will be providing updates.

update: it looks that its already rooted. so there its not much to do you can install any app on your device.

now i will be cheking if some tweaks are needed on the build.prop file.

by the moment this rom is excelent no much work is needed. you will only need to start installing a launcher you like and the basic apps you are interested.

update 2: i did check the basics. and there its defninitly not need for tweaking.

basicaly the things that can be added are too personal for each individuo.

so i recomendo to install this rom and add your personal stuff.

It will be in chinese after you flashed. But you can set it back to english by going to setup page and click the language button. Look for the icon with the letter "A".

It also comes with many pre-install apks, safe to uninstall all for them.

I find the phoenix card method of flashing firmware is the easiest. Basically, just need to run phoenix card software on PC, which will write the firmware on SD card. When it is done, just insert the SD card in Uhost and power up. That's all. Very simple.
