MXQ PRO 4K TV BOX FOR DIGITAL SIGNAGE

Hi guys,
I need your help,
I bought a mxq pro 1gb8gb tv box for digital signage in portrait mode,
unfortunately I can’t rotate the screen even using set orientation app, I am using signageplayer to display content on the screen
can somebody help me solve it.
i am new user with no coding android hability.

What Android Version you are running?
And also is the box rooted?

the box is running android 7.1.2
and it is brand new; i don't think it is rooted because i don't know how to root an android device

Hello,

Yes please install root checker to the Box to verify if we are rooted.
If the Box is rooted Install Terminal Emulator open it and type in.

su
content insert --uri content://settings/system --bind name:s:accelerometer_rotation --bind value:i:0
content insert --uri content://settings/system --bind name:s:user_rotation --bind value:i:1  

The Value after user_rotation is:

1 = Landscape
0 = Portrait
2 = upside down
3 = reverse landscape
