How does the new realtec chipset perform. The generation before was weak, but Eweat did the best the can for the Realtec platform.

I'm curious, is SATA native to this SoC, or does it use a bridge?

Very Minimal Record Functions, Push menu on remote to select and OK to record easy as.

As you can see a Big mouse pointer so when you do sit far back from the Telly easy to see

So a quick look around of what we have an the UI and System of what we have.

Very quickly ran up Kodi 16.1 played most 4k test no Wrapper or Auto Frame Rate I could detect but all looked good.
Also has its own built in 4k Player if needed.

Finally a test Video for now of the Eweat R9 recording a Youtube video and then Playback.
This was just a quick plug it in and do it type of situation, No customising or refining to enhance.
No Audio in first part of recording(could not hear audio being recorded) there in the playback, not sure why as yet, setting or something.

FTMC I just installed no setup, was going to use the installed Kodi 16.1 but full addons ( I caused this) as the supplied Kodi is clean
Time Code is only an Onscreen indication that it is recording.

Eweat R9 Boot and Record and Playback thru FTMC.

As this is the First release of the Firmware on the Eweat R9 must say it is going rather well, more features are to be added like PIP and more enhancements.
Looks like a bit of fun
Great unit to have and a Good look.
