Today we can have a close look at the Xnano X5 Realtek RTD1295 TV Box - 2G RAM + 16G ROM

There has been a few of these RTD 1295 devices arrive of late starting way Back from Zidoo with the X9S
and then a few more, like all media players with time they do start to improve and as more people get
on board they can end up being a very useful Unit.

    So lets have a look

    The Box

What's in the Box, All Metal Case

One Big OK button on that remote

Front Display and Ports and more Ports

A few Tests, Information and a look around the UI etc

Power on 12v 2 Amp power pack all good
      Easy connect WiFi 5ghz
Easy Connect Google and Login etc.
Update a couple of apps, load a few no problems there.
Running Android 6., no root currently,
UI simple Looks ok, annoying (to me) taskbar slides out from the Left side, Different as you will see.
HDMI in and Out same as Beenlink and I guess many others.
Openwrt settings much the same as seen in other RTD1295 units

Ok a few Images and a quick look around

      Launcher

      Installed Apps

      Version

Side Navigation Bar, hope to find a setting to contain it.

      HDMI in/record

      A floating View image app

      CEC Functions

More Settings to get Openwrt settings

Another launcher feature I found Menu Button on remote lets you Customise add/remove icons from Home screen

Further fiddling you can make a reale mess of it if you wish Crazy Launcher.

Now to a bit of testing......
        Youtube ok 1080p
Netflix app installed not HD but very watchable

Overall not too bad for this little unit with lots of Extras to be found...Box is cool not running Hot, Small compact and neat design.
much the same as other RTD1295, But Metal Box, Clock, and the Bizarre launcher put it were you like Icons won me.

OTA update all good at this stage

DRM, I not a DRM app also installed have to suss that one out Later

        Wifi Speed and ethernet good

        Ram and Storage truth

        Vellamo

        Antutu not to bad

        Cpu-Z

Just a quick overview of the Xnano X5 Realtek RTD1295 TV Box - 2G RAM + 16G ROM
I went to attach the SSD just realised at the time No sata/power cable supplied, thought that unusual.

Unit has KD player (Kodi 17.3) installed and a swag of stuff included
Being a RTD device the inbuilt player player does a good job and plays most well.

Openwrt seems in order I don't have a need to use myself some may, so read up on it to see if it is for you.
Good WiFi and Ether connection, as mentioned good looking unit ,metal casing and a crazy launcher..
Performance OK much as other Units in this Range of RTD.

Thanks Gearbest for the opportunity to Show and tell.

I have problem with recording from TV with HDMI IN. I use 1920 x 1080 resolution but there is no problem with picture. When I try clip after recording I notice that picture is good but there is no voice. Is there any settings to resolve that problem, any settings for HDMI IN sound?
