"MK809 II" - RK3066 + MT5931SA & MT6622N

Hi!

I've bought a "MK809 II" player.
With the stock firmware the player was very slow and the wifi was unstable.

So i've tried several custom roms but i wasn't able to find a rom make working both wifi and bluetooth.

The player is a RK3066 and once opened the pen, i've noticed that it has Mediatek chipset for wireless contections: MT5931SA and MT6622N.



Is there any rom that support my player?

Try an Imito MX1/MX2 ROM. BT and wifi work on my MK809II with the same chipset as yours, but I don't use the wifi as reception is so poor.

After searching i've seen that
Imito MX1/MX2 and Rikomagic have the same chipset:

RK3066 with MT5931SA and MT6622N.

I've tried some roms coming from these players but i still haven't got bluetooth working


I also see that wifi reception is poor, even if there's a little improovement with:

"iMito MX1 Finless 1.5 ROM Root Debloat init.d"
"SnakeRom 4.1.1"

I'll try some other rom and then probably get a UsbToLan adapter..

BT works for me with Finless Imito MX1/MX2 1.7. It also works with 2.0 but keeps dropping out every now and then. That issue may have been fixed by now, though.

For my MK809 II the best solution is ROM 4.2.2 for MK812. It's R-BOX Rom, WiFi and Bluetooth work perfect -of course Mediatek based WiFi and Bluetooth chipset.

for MK809-II it also works the Finless 2.0 rom for Imito, which has 1080p option
in order to get passtrough sound there is also the Rikomagic rom but no wifi and bt working with that one...
