The instructions are here, from Bob some time ago. http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...ull=1#post4054

If reddragon72 shares his parameter edits I can link it in the first post for others to benefit. I know a few users have asked to mod the partitions.

Here is the stock parameter file for the ROM: http://ge.tt/5OeiV9o1/v/0?c

Use the instructions to size partitions to your need.

the program to open up the main IMG file was http://www.rockchipfirmware.com/site...G_Mod_Tool.zip

Still working on killing off that 300mb NAND so I can get that 750Gb USB drive in place of it. I am wondering if just adding an actual SDCARD will work. I don't have an extra laying around at the moment so I cannot try it out to see if apps with "extra" downloads can be put on that.

UPDATE!!!!!!! I figured it out and now have 5.91G of internal app storage! YES!!!!!! now I am going to get my 720 gig USB harddrive setup as the SDCARD and be all set!!!

If anyone wants I can setup the files and upload for 4 and 6 gigs.

I've unpacked the image using the tool.. changed the parameter file... repack...

Load the firmware... it does everything but wont boot up...

I've tried the original kk rom and works again...

not a clue, maybe different device...

I did not repack mine. I used Finless flash tool that loads each file individually. I only use the RKtool to "switch" it into download when it did boot or the hard reset when I couldn't get it to boot.

Did you use the 4 or 6bg par file? I never tried the 4Gb but my calculations look correct, but I'll go through them again to to be sure.

Oh and with Finless's tool remember to use the boot file from the extracted 4.4.2 as the one from any other version will not work. needs to be v2.12

Still no luck, can you please paste the parameters inside a code tag, i think on the copy from forum post its the problem.

                      Thanks again!

                          4gb and 6gb parameters files

That didn't worked out either Shomari, so what i've tried was change the original file with dragon's digits and that finally works!

I've tested both 4 and 6 gb files

You can download them from here: Parameters

                          I hope those can help

Already rooted again and upload FusedLocation.apk to my device

Thanks again guys for yout help!

Glad they got that straight for you. Yea you have to copy and paste into the current file. Creating a new one in Windows wont work.

I am still working on the swap over from the internal NAND to the USB drive. No luck as it seems they no longer use the vold.fstab files.... I am digging deeper into the system files and still nothing. All the ini files are useless so I am stumped but not out.

Once I find out how to swap the USB into the NAND slot I'll post up. A USB 2.0 harddrive is faster that an SDCard and every bit as fast as the internal RAM. My 4.1.1 setup was awesome with the 6Gb app storage and the USB harddrive.

any way to make wifi work?
