MX2 Android TV Box cant access recovery mode ?

Hello,i bought a MX2 recently and want to change the firmware but i cant seem to get it to boot to the android recovery mode using the toothpick way on boot.

I bought it from http://www.droidsticks.co.uk/ here in England and they are not being very helpful with this.

I dont think they want to to use another firmware as they one they sell is heavily branded to them even when it boots i get androidsticks logo.

Any help on this guys would be great

i am am a noob so I may be completely wrong however yes are many sticks that have the same architecture. However, I think you may need to try to identify the actually main board model number first. You may brick the unit if you try to use any of the linked roms in this sub.

Thanks for the advise,in the end they gave me the info i needed and i had to use a recovery app from the store to boot into recovery mode and flash from there.

I flashed a ROM from their site and also lost recovery. Flashed from ADB over WiFi to restore recovery. To be fair it is the best ROM I have used and the only way they can make sure the boxes run smoothly and honour warranties. But yes it's def not imito mx2 so where is mx2 smart tv box forum.

Which recovery app did you use? I also cannot get into recovery no matter what I do.
