Measy U2C Finless ROM 1.4

Sorry Bod lost the tack a bit there. Getting back on the subject has anybody actually tried these Measy sticks via AV. I am considering AV to free up an HDMI connection. My main concern was the loss of any Audio and or video quality. If anybody knows it may save me wasting money buying an AV cable.

Yes I have used it a few times on a old TV in the bedroom. It works.
Audio is fine since these sticks don't support AC3 or HDMI pass through anyway.
Video work as expected on a old TV. It's watchable. However the desktop, menus, etc are hard to read with old TV resolutions. You have to bump up the font size which helps a little.

Measy 1.7 ROM installed

Have the ROM installed and it seems too boot and respond just fine. Speed in synthetic benchmarks about the same as 1.4 ROM. Best run 9200+ that was slightly higher than the 9100+ in the 1.4 ROM. First run in Antutu was only 7500+ and I thought Bob had blown this one but a few reboots eventually got the benchmarks above 9000. It seemed the first run in Antutu was always a little slow as the device needs to get warm.

On the surface this ROM appears similar to the previous as any stability and compatibility fixes are not immediately visible. Sleep is a useful addition even if not what I had expected. I had envisaged a sleep option in the reboot menu but that was obviously my misconception. Using restore software I soon had all my programs and system data from the 1.4 ROM reinstalled without any compatibility issues arising.

Is the old TV CRT. Does the old TV support HD. My TV has dual HDMI and 1080 support. I was just thinking of keeping an HDMI available. Maybe with full HD support an AV connection might look okay. I know VGA looks fairly good on my system. Anybody used AV on a HD screen.

I had moved your post about installing 1.7 to the 1.7 ROM thread. Not sure why you posted it here?

The TV is not HDMI. It is standard def and uses RCA (red, white, yellow) inputs. Works fine from the AV out port.

Without a stock ROM, I cannot help you. You have different hardware and we need the kernel made for your device!

Hi Bob/Finless,

sorry to bother you too with that Kimdecent B13 Stick.

Here is the Stock Firmware for that device:

Maybe you could check it out and port the Finless ROM to that Device. It should be 95% the same since only WIFI/Blutooth seems to be different compared to the Kimdecent B12/Measy U2C. Maybe you could figure out whats different (So it might be enough to replace the wifi/blutooth part).
